I am currently a Research Specialist at Genome Center, UC Davis, USA
I obtained my PhD degree in computational chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry and a second degree in computer software and application at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Hefei, China, where I acquired a broad and extensive multidisciplinary education in the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science. I obtained postdoctoral training and extensive research experience at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the EML Research gGmbH in Heidelberg, Germany.
My research interest is to use computational approaches to understand molecular structures, structure-activity relationships and molecular interactions. The molecules I have studied are mostly proteins and small molecules that are biologically important and therapeutically relevant, such as the influenza neuraminidase and inhibitors, the RAS protein and the effectors, and the G-protein coupled receptors and the ligands.
