Aim and Scope The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for intensive discussions about the state-of-the-art in Brownian Dynamics simulations of biological macromolecules and related methodologies. Particular attention will be paid to the theoretical description of concentrated media, simulations in cell-like environments and in-vivo measurements of diffusion. Participants will include theoreticians and experimentalists. Speakers will be encouraged to present work in progress and discuss speculative ideas. For information on the first BDBDB, see:

October 11-13, 2010. Location The meeting will take place at the Villa Bosch, Heidelberg and, via video-conferencing, at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). There will be live video-conferencing sessions each evening (Heidelberg)/morning (San Diego). Invited Speakers Topics • Molecular diffusion, including anomalous and rotational diffusion • Diffusional association • Hydrodynamic interactions • Aggregation, oligomerization, and self-assembly • Macromolecular crowding • Macromolecular flexibility etc.
Registration
Abstracts can be submitted for posters and for short oral presentations. The registration
form should be filled by participants at both the Heidelberg and San Diego sites.
The deadline for registration is extended to September 10, 2010.
